SYLVANIA—Lourdes College is hosting an ecumenical lecture Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. about the recent pilgrimage made by Catholics and Lutherans from Northwest Ohio.
Last October, Bishop Leonard P. Blair and Lutheran Bishop Marcus C. Lohrmann led a group of 18 Catholics and 40 Lutherans on a pilgrimage called “A Journey Toward Understanding.” The group traveled to Germany and Rome to explore their common Christian heritage and pray for Christian unity.
Participants including Father James Peiffer, diocesan ecumenical officer; Lynne Lukoch, diocesan pastoral advisory council; Sally Oberski, communications director for the Diocese of Toledo; Reverend Keith Hunsinger, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor; and the Rev. Lisa and Laurence Peterson will discuss the pilgrimage and reflect on how the experience has since affected their lives.
The lecture will be held at the Franciscan Center of Lourdes College. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, call 419-824-3819.
