TIFFIN—The American Electric Power (AEP) Foundation made a $50,000 gift Jan. 24 to the capital campaign for the new Mercy Hospital of Tiffin. The AEP Foundation is funded by AEP and AEP utility units, including AEP Ohio.

“We truly appreciate the strong support from AEP in providing this generous gift to our campaign,” says Mercy Hospital of Tiffin President and CEO Dale Thornton. “It takes us one step closer to reaching our $5 million goal. This certainly shows AEP’s commitment to the future healthcare of Tiffin and Seneca County,” he added.

The hospital and attached medical office building are scheduled to open this summer.
