OREGON—Cardinal Stritch High School senior Zach Esposito was a winner in a video contest sponsored by The American Lung Association of Ohio for its Tobacco Education Awareness Program.
The contest was entitled “Kick Some Butts” and required each entrant to submit a 30 second video ad showing a negative aspect of using tobacco.
Zach’s video placed in the top 10, earning him a trip to the finals competition April 2 where he won the fifth place award and a $100 prize.
Donna Tong, Zach’s social studies teacher at Cardinal Stritch commented, “When I received the contest information I knew that this was the type of competition in which Zach would do well. He has done video projects for the social studies department and for student council this year so I knew of his ability and creativity. His contest entry made me proud of him and I am expecting him to be successful in his future work.”
