What topic comes up in conversations these days even more than the weather? Gas prices.
We are all fed up to here with the constant yo-yo in prices and the ever-increasing bottom line. We complain and forward e-mails about boycotting gas purchases for a particular dealer or on a particular day of the week, but it doesn’t get us anywhere.
Television news and newspapers keep retelling the same story: consumers are changing their habits — we are staying closer to home during vacations and changing our habits otherwise to save gas and money.
But the Mansfield & Richland County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau still wants you to come to their part of Ohio. And they’re giving away gas to get you there.
Well, they’re aren’t giving gas away to everyone who visits, but they are having a contest in which visitors can win a $50 gas card.
To cash in, people who have visited Mansfield in the past year can enter a drawing by uploading photos and stories about their trip to the bureau’s Web site. See all the rules and submission information at http://www.mansfieldtourism.com/free-gas-card.php.
