Catholic dinner theatre announces cast for first production |

LIMA—Catholic Community Dinner Theatre (CCD Theatre) announces the cast for “Godspell,” its first production.
Cast members are: Nicolle Merkle, Bob Curry, Bill Hanz, Sandy Monfort, Patty McVey, Gino DiMattia, Janice Grant, Sam Kantonen, Clarissa Schnipke and Drew Kantonen as Jesus.
“Godspell” is directed and choreographed by Mary Blanche Hengstler with music under the direction of Scott Parr. Catholics from both Allen and Putnam counties have been enlisted to take part in this new venture.
Performances are scheduled for Nov. 14,15,16 & 20. Nov. 16 is a matinee with doors opening at noon and the show beginning at 2 p.m. All other performances begin at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. for dinner. Performances are at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Lima, 810 S. Cable Rd.
The dinner buffet includes chicken hollandaise, pasta marinara, burgundy beef tips, au gratin potatoes, vegetables, full salad bar, rolls and butter, an array of desserts and coffee, tea and milk. A cash bar is also to be available.
The premise of CCD Theatre is to provide and promote good, inoffensive Catholic/Christian value productions while utilizing all Catholic artistic talent and fostering a “family atmosphere” and a greater sense of collaboration throughout the community.
As a nonprofit organization, CCD Theatre exists to donate any profits obtained from each production to a designated community charity. Profits from “Godspell” are to be donated to the Allen County Health Partners/Lima Community Health Center.
Tickets are now on sale and are $30 for adults and $20 for youth ages 5 to 13. Ticket prices include the dinner, show and a donation to Allen County Health Partners.
