LIMA—For the fifth time, St. Rita’s Medical Center has been recognized as one of Ohio’s most healthy worksites by The Office of Healthy Ohio. This year St. Rita’s, along with five other Ohio businesses, was awarded the Gold, the highest award presented.
More than 70 companies, cities and townships applied for the 2008 awards, which recognize Ohio employers that demonstrate a commitment to employee health through comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs.
Other Gold recipients include BEM Services, Inc., Cleveland; General Mills, Wellston; Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Marysville; TCP, Inc., Aurora; and University Schools, Hunting Valley.
The Office of Healthy Ohio is part of Gov. Ted Strickland’s Turnaround Ohio initiative and consists of three core areas: health promotion, disease prevention and health equity.
