Top grads named for Lima Central Catholic |

LIMA—Central Catholic High School in Lima has named its top graduates of the class of 2008. Adam Swick is the valedictorian and Diana Wieser is salutatorian.

Adam, son of Michael and Danette Swick, was active in varsity tennis (sectional singles champion, district third-place), National Honor Society (co-president), Leaders of Tomorrow, Science Olympiad, a National Merit finalist, recipient of the Honda Math Medal, a WLIO Scholar-Athlete, movie production group, quiz bowl (conference champions) and recipient of a 60-hour hospital volunteer pin.
He plans to attend Wharton College at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a degree in finance.
Diana, daughter of Mike and Susan Wieser, was active in National Honor Society, Science Olympiad, Ohio High School Speech League, National Forensic League (first alternate to nationals), varsity tennis (Ohio Tennis Coaches’ Gold Racquet Award) a WLIO Scholar-Athlete, quiz bowl (conference champions), Buckeye Girls State delegate, Lima Elks Student of the Year and founder of the Lima Central Catholic chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions.
She plans to attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology pursuing a degree in biology.
