TOLEDO—Central Catholic High School senior shortstop Kyle Burkhardt took second place overall in the Toledo Mud Hens High School Home Run Derby Aug. 7. The contest featured 17 competitors from Ohio and Michigan over the past two months.

Kyle was selected First Team All-City, All-District, and All-State in 2008, and he also served as the kicker for the Fighting Irish football team.
