TOLEDO—Toledo Central Catholic High School is hosting the third annual Ohio State University Dance Team workshop and performance Jan. 23.

The full day workshop for students age 8 and older is from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a cost of $35, which includes lunch and a T-shirt. A mini workshop for children ages 5 to 7 is from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and costs $20. (T-shirt included.)

Registration forms and fees are due by Jan. 15 and are available at Central Catholic High School.

The OSU dance team performs at 7:30 p.m. that evening in the CCHS Sullivan Center.

A dance team competition begins after the show, with Central Catholic and other area schools performing. The event is open to the public; tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students.

Two Central Catholic graduates from the class of 2007 — Melissa Heintschel and Melissa McGhee — are members of the OSU dance team. The team performs at OSU basketball games, football pep rallies and other public relations events to promote spirit on the campus. In the summer they compete nationally.
