TOLEDO—Beginning at 4 p.m., April 17, Toledo Central Catholic High School (CCHS) presents its Festival of the Lively Arts and Spring Open House, which culminates with the music department’s spring concert.
The Festival of the Lively Arts features award-winning student artwork; a faculty art raffle for the American Cancer Society; piano, guitar, dance team and gospel choir performances; performances of student one-act plays; student demonstrations of multi-media technology; and a Quidditch tournament on the school’s front lawn. (Quidditch, a fictitious “wizarding” sport played on broomsticks, is the most popular game among wizards in the series of Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling.)
Visitors will also have an opportunity to tour the school facilities and learn about Central Catholic’s academic programs, athletics and extracurricular activities. The CCHS admissions team, guidance department, spiritual commission and athletic department personnel will be on hand to answer visitors’ questions.
The Central Catholic softball team will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
The spring concert features performances by the CCHS glee club, mixed chorus, string orchestra and concert band.
Admission to the Festival of the Lively Arts and Spring Open House is free. Contact the school at 419-255-2280 for more information.
