Central Catholic soccer teams honored for academics

TOLEDO—The Toledo Central Catholic High School (CCHS) boys and girls varsity soccer teams have earned All-Ohio Academic Honors by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA).

The award is given to varsity soccer teams in Ohio that are members of the OSSCA and have attained a cumulative team grade point average of at least a 3.0 while competing on the field.

Members of the boys’ varsity soccer team are seniors Jeff Balogh, Jordan Duckett, Josh Felix, Bradley Hashim, Robert Jablonski, Ben Maloney, Mark Morris, Patrick Rediger, Zach St. John, Thomas Velker, Aaron Welter and Matt Wiciak; juniors Gabe Hess, Lucas Tolar, Aaron Tracey and Andrew Troy; and sophomores Jeremy Filar, Chris Morris and Ken Wise. They are coached by Joe Hoppe.

Members of the girls’ varsity soccer team are seniors Alex Born, Erin Cottle, Meghan Duran-Whitmore, Emily Grau and Tiara Houston-Trammell; juniors Karlee Dandino, Amber Gang, Marissa Lohman and Callie Nelson; sophomores Hanna Franckhauser, Courtney Hamons and Courtney Rygalski; and freshmen Karyn Cedoz, Kate Cedoz, Gabi Clarke, Alyssa Huff, Chelsie Jagodzinski, Sara Taylor and Taylor Zapadka. They are coached by Don Jablonski.
