Central Catholic student interns with Masterworks Chorale |

TOLEDO—Central Catholic High School senior Katie Kraus of Rossford is a soprano interning with Masterworks Chorale, a mixed voice ensemble comprised of singers from the Toledo area.

She auditioned last May and is one of three high school students who were accepted as interns. She will perform in the Chorale’s Christmas concerts Dec. 5 and 6 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Toledo.
Katie took piano lessons from second through eighth grades and has taken voice lessons since sixth grade. She is a member of the CCHS Glee Club and has performed in the school musicals since 2007. She hopes to study vocal performance in college and work as a performer, then obtain a music education degree and become a music teacher.
“Working with professional singers is giving me great experience for college and beyond,” Katie says. “It has really helped me raise my standards in my own singing.”
