TOLEDO—Aaron DeLong of West Toledo and Christopher Valentic of Perrysburg, seniors at Central Catholic High School, have been named National Merit Scholarship Finalists.
Students entered the competition by taking the 2007 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. They now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for the 8,200 Merit Scholarship awards, worth $35 million, that are to be offered in April.
Approximately half of the Finalists win Merit Scholarship awards and are honored as Merit Scholar designees.
