Lady Irish to raise money for breast cancer research

TOLEDO—The Central Catholic High School Lady Irish are holding “Punt, Pass, & Kick for the Cure” powder puff flag football games at Gallagher Stadium to raise money for breast cancer research. 

The freshmen class takes on the sophomore class April 23 at 6 p.m., followed by the juniors playing the seniors at approximately 7:30 p.m. The two winning teams and the two losing teams are to battle it out April 30. 

The Lady Irish players are to be led by assistant freshmen football coach Tony Katafiasz and members of the Fighting Irish football team. 

Tickets are available at the gate.  The cost is $3 for adults and $2 for students for an individual evening, or $5 for adults and $3 for students for both dates. All proceeds from the events benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
