TOLEDO—The Cathedral Concert Series announces its 2008-2009 season. The series brings together fine musicians and the magnificent atmosphere of Rosary Cathedral for the enjoyment of audiences in northwest Ohio.
This year features outstanding talents such as Toledo natives Mary Towse-Beck and Todd Wilson, Ann Corrigan and Tina Bunce from the College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State Universtiy, and distinguished organist Marilyn Mason of the University of Michigan. The Toledo Symphony continues its performances of the Bruckner symphonies.
A season brochure was mailed in mid-August. If you wish to be added to the mailing list please contact the Cathedral parish office at 419-244-9575 and provide your name and address.
The concerts are free and open to the public except the Toledo Symphony concert. Rosary Cathedral is located at 2535 Collingwood Blvd.
Sept. 28, 3 p.m.: Mary Towse-Beck, pianist
Nov. 2, 4 p.m.: Toledo Symphony, Stefan Sanderling, conducting Bruckner: Symphony #5
Dec. 7, 3 p.m.: Advent Lessons & Carols
Feb. 22, 3 p.m.: Ann Corrigan, soprano; Tina Bunce, mezzo-soprano
March 15, 3 p.m.: “Le Chemin de la Croix” (The Way of the Cross) by Marcel Dupré, Marilyn Mason, organist
April 8, 7:30 p.m.: Tenebrae
May 17, 3 p.m.: Diocesan Choir concert
July 7, 7:30 p.m.: Todd Wilson, organist
