TOLEDO—The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store recognizes the difficult economic times facing everyone in the community.

In keeping with its mission to serve the poor and needy, the Thrift Store is holding sales as follows to support the poor, the working poor and the needy:

Every Monday selected clothing items are $1 each.

 Coyle Funeral Home
Every Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday — a selected item is chosen and sold at 50 percent off.
• Dec. 10: all red items
• Dec. 17: all blue items
• Dec. 31: all white items

Every Friday is Furniture Frenzy Sales Day with selected furniture and second floor furniture sold at 25 percent off.

Dec. 20 is Customer Appreciation Day. Every customer is welcome to the thrift store for a simple lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. With each purchase, guests also receive a 25 percent off coupon to use on their next visit and a 15 percent off coupon to give to a relative or a friend.

Funds raised from all sales are used to provide emergency financial assistance to the poor and needy, provide wages and benefits for 15 employees, and cover the day-to-day operation expenses of the thrift store.

For more information on these activities, call the Thrift Store at 419-243-2243 Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or after hours at 419-350-7277.
