TOLEDO—Annunciation Radio’s second annual “Friend-Raiser” dinner was held at the Holiday Inn French Quarter April 25, and featured guest speaker Dr. Ray Guarendi. Bishop Leonard P. Blair opened the evening with a prayer and Mike McCartney served as master of ceremonies.
After dinner, guests watched a video presentation about Annunciation Radio and its potential to change lives. Board President Deacon Michael Learned delivered the “State of the Station” address. As supporters filled out pledge cards, Esther Swain, a junior at Swanton High School sang “God Help the Outcasts” and “Ave Maria.”
After the program, Father Michael Dandurand, Annunciation Radio’s spiritual director, delivered the closing prayer. Guests had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Guarendi and purchase his books and recordings. As they left, each guest received a complimentary Annunciation Radio mug.
