The Congregational Nurse Project of Northwest Ohio is offering a five-day basic educational course to prepare nurses to deliver holistic health care to members of a faith community. Day-long classes begin at 8 a.m. Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28 and March 6 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.
Faith Community Nursing is a recognized specialty practice that combines professional nursing and health ministry. The practice of faith community nursing emphasizes health and healing within a faith community.
The four major components of the philosophy of faith community nursing include: spiritual formation, professionalism, health and wholeness and community.
