Catholic Healthcare Partners to transition to new COO

CINCINNATI—Catholic Healthcare Partners (CHP) has announced Chief Operating Officer A. David Jimenez is retiring April 30, 2010, and Steven L. Mickus, CEO of CHP’s Northern Division, is to transition into the role of COO.

Mr. Mickus is to continue to serve as CEO of the Northern Division during and after the transition.

The Northern Division includes Mercy Health Partners, Toledo; West Central Ohio Health Partners, Lima; and Community Health Partners, Lorain.

Mr. Mickus is to remain based primarily in Toledo. He is to continue to build the infrastructure and leadership support in the Northern Division to effectively add COO responsibilities, which include oversight of the operations of 33 hospitals and 14 long-term care facilities in five states with 37,000 employees and $3.7 billion in net operating revenue.
