CYO begins to form new strategic plan |

The CYO Advisory Committee is planning to meet later this month to develop a new strategic plan for the CYO Athletic program. This plan will serve as a guide for the CYO program for the next three to five years.
The first CYO strategic planning took place in 1996 and the new plan will be the fourth the CYO program has developed. The current plan may be viewed on the CYO Web site, www.cyss.org/cyo/index.htm.
Some of the objectives accomplished from past CYO strategic plans include:
• pre-game team prayer,
• fall sports Mass,
• formation of the eighth-grade CYO Leadership Award,
• development of the CYO Advisory Committee,
• development of the coaches certification program,
• construction of and fundraising for the Msgr. Schmit CYO Athletic Complex,
• development of the CYO Web site,
• establishment of the “all play” rules and
• establishment of the Monsignor Schmit Officials Scholarship.
These are just a few objectives accomplished to enhance “our” CYO Athletic program over the past 11 years.
