Three awards were given for outstanding leadership contribution to the spiritual development of Catholic youth within the program of the Boy Scouts of America: the Bronze Pelican Award, the St. George Award and the Chaplain Service Award.

2008 Bronze Pelican Award recipients are Chris Billmaier and Cinthia Cunningham, Perrysburg St. Rose; Patrick Caserta and Michael Kleman, Bowling Green St. Aloysius; Rebecca Reamer and Wendy Roszczika, Toledo St. Patrick of Heatherdowns; Connie Recker, Ottawa SS. Peter & Paul; and Brenda Recker, Glandorf St. John the Baptist.

St. George Award recipients for 2008 are Mary Lee Foley, Toledo Gesu; Barbara Mauter, Toledo Christ the King; and Louann Wood, Columbus Grove St. Anthony of Padua.

The 2008 Chaplain Service Award was given to John Springer of Perrysburg St. Rose.
