TOLEDO—Ninety-three girls from the Diocese of Toledo in the second through sixth grades attended the Girls’ Religious Awards ceremony at Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral June 8.
Sixty-five girls received the Family of God Award and 28 received the I Live My Faith Award at the ceremony, which is an activity of the Toledo Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (TDCCW).
Peg Logsdon, chairperson of the Girls’ Religious Award Committee, introduced the Leaders/Specialist who, in turn, introduced the award winners. Father James Brown, moderator of the TDCCW, presented the girls with their medals and patches, assisted by Jill Pothoff.
The Girls’ Religious Award program is open to any girl interested in studying more about her religion.
