TOLEDO—Fallapoolaza, a benefit concert to help Toledo native Don Fall pay personal and medical expenses while recuperating from a brain injury begins at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Toledo Civic Theatre Auditorium, 237 S. Erie St.

The benefit features five local bands, celebrity auction items donated by performers including Peter Frampton, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Carlos Santana and more.

“The need is great,” says Michael McLaughlin, a childhood friend of Mr. Hall and the event organizer. “Don is at risk of losing everything, including his home. I’m encouraging everyone to come out and support him.

“Hopefully we can raise enough money to help him sustain his finances until he can get back on his feet. ... 100 percent of the proceeds will help Don pay his mortgage, medical bills and other expenses,” Mr. McLaughlin adds. Mr. Fall’s brain injury is the result of an automobile accident.

Don Fall, a Toledo native, graduated with honors from Central Catholic High School in 1987 and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering at the University of Toledo. He worked for many years as a computer science engineer at Avca Corporation, specializing in production and control systems, before branching out into his own business, Optimized Automation Systems. He is the son of Don and Jackie Fall and brother of Melanie, all of Toledo.

Participating bands are: Five O’clock Rush (50’s/60’s rock), Good Stuff Maynard, Velvet Jones, Johnny Rocker and the Hitmen and Mad Mordigan.

Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the door the day of the event.  For more information, call Mr. McLaughlin at 419- 290-7298.
