“I can tell by the fact that you are reading this that you have survived the abortion hour holocaust. But don’t take comfort, because we are all candidates for euthanasia.” Msgr. William Smith as quoted in the March/April 2009 Family Foundation Magazine of the Couple to Couple League.

How can we possibly believe that this new president, Barack Obama, is the most intelligent president in history, when our country is in the financial mess that is in, yet he wants to spend millions of our dollars on people getting abortions in foreign countries?

Recently, a friend of mine, who gives me rides to our Knights of Columbus meetings, told me that he was only 90 percent Catholic because he just couldn’t bring himself to accept all the teachings of our church. I won’t disclose much of the conversation, because many of you may know exactly whom I’m talking about. There were many things that I probably could have, and should have, spoken to him about.

But my question to all of you is how Catholic are you? I, myself, like to call myself a “Cathoholic,” a term I was saddled with by my own brother-in-law, and I like it.
