Ohio Right to Life is offering a scholarship to one Ohio college student to attend the 2009 National Right to Life Academy in Washington D.C., June 17-July 31.
The National Right to Life Academy is an intensive six-week college course that trains college students to carry the fight for life into the future by learning to be activists in the pro-life movement. The premise of the academy is by training today’s youth in the strategy and knowledge gained through generations of experience, their youthful passion will be honed to heighten their impact in the battle for life.
The scholarship winner is to be chosen through the Ohio Right to Life Essay Contest. Interested students are required to write an essay (no more than 1,500 words) explaining their pro-life beliefs and the impact young people can have on the pro-life movement.
The scholarship is open to all college-age Ohio students currently enrolled in an Ohio university. The $3,500 scholarship includes full tuition, room and board of $3,200 and a $300 travel allowance.
