TOLEDO—The Toledo Serra Club hosts the Helen Coyle Memorial 10th Annual Appreciation Miniature Golf Outing and Luncheon Sept. 28 for the religious sisters serving in the Diocese of Toledo.
The Toledo Serra Club organizes the event to join others who have been touched by these wonderful women in saying, “Thank God for our sisters and their vocations!”
At the outing, the sisters enjoy an afternoon of camaraderie with one another as they receive fresh flower corsages, golf cart rides and lunch and participate in the miniature golf tournament — complete with trophies — under the canopy of Bedford Hills Golf Course in Temperance, Mich. The highlight of the afternoon is the prize raffle, and the sisters enjoy watching and hoping as names are called and door prizes are awarded.
The Toledo Serra Club seeks support from companies, individuals and organizations willing to donate door prizes so every sister hears her name called and receives a prize. All donors are to be listed in the event program and are welcome to attend the prize raffle and miniature golf tournament.
Come and cheer on your favorite sister or order as the Sylvania Franciscans attempt to defend their title as the “Best Golfing Order” in the Toledo Diocese!
For more information or to donate a prize, contact Mur Bookmiller at 419-882-6511 or murbookmil@aol.com. A Serran can schedule a convenient time for prize pickup.
