ADRIAN, Mich.—The Weber Retreat and Conference Center presents “Advent Waiting: Praying with Body, Mind and Spirit” Dec. 6 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The retreat offers time to reflect on the season of Advent before being caught up in the busyness of preparation for Christmas. It offers the opportunity to relax, unwind and experience a new dimension in personal prayer using body, mind and spirit to pray with Scripture, guided meditation and music of the season. Participants should bring a journal for use during quiet reflection time.

Basic movements taught during the retreat can be done by anyone, regardless of experience or physical limitations.

The presenter is Janene Ternes, a commissioned spiritual director and founder of Prayer in Motion LLC. She has developed and presented a variety of workshops and individualized programs, which teach and inspire holistic forms of prayer for people of all ages. She helps some experience a deeper connection with God, leading to a more loving, peaceful, joyful and fulfilled life.
