27th annual Toledo charismatic program to be at Rossford All Saints
ROSSFORD—With the theme “The Cross — Our Door to Mercy,” the annual conference of the Ministry to Catholic Charismatic Renewal features two keynote speakers with programs in the gym at Rossford All Saints.
The conference opens Oct. 16 and concludes with a vigil Mass Oct. 17. The conference offers the opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation and includes programs for youth.
Speaker Bert Ghezzi is a popular author and speaker who has more than 35 years of religious education experience. Dr. Ghezzi received his doctorate degree from the University of Notre Dame and is currently senior acquisitions editor for Our Sunday Visitor’s book division.
Also speaking during the conference is Father Rick Wendell, a parish priest in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. He was raised in the Catholic faith, but as a young adult, his faith became less important to him and he stopped attending Mass. He lived a party-filled life while “searching for truth.” Father Wendell was pursuing a career in the medical field and engaged to be married when he had a near-death experience. He remembers seeing an intense pure light unlike anything he had ever experienced. He recovered, but his life had been changed and his friendship with a man he met on a trip to Medjugorie eventually led him to the priesthood.
Registration is $25 per person and free for youth. For more information, contact the Ministry for Catholic Charismatic Renewal at 419-691-6686.
