Mercy Health Partners has announced the appointment of Andrea R. Price as its chief operating officer.
Ms. Price will join Mercy Health Partners early this fall, at which time she will assume responsibility for the operations and performance of Mercy hospitals and associated outpatient sites. She will be responsible for driving quality, patient safety and customer service to higher levels, overseeing Mercy’s seven hospitals in Toledo, Oregon, Tiffin Willard and Defiance.
“We welcome Andrea to Mercy and to northwest Ohio,” says Steven Mickus, president of Mercy Health Partners. “She is a dynamic executive leader with more than 25 years of health care experience.”
Ms. Price currently serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Sparrow Health System in Lansing, Mich.
“Joining Mercy will provide an opportunity to be part of an organization that is truly mission oriented,” she says. “It is apparent to me that the mission and values are part of the decision-making at Mercy. The organization is known and respected nationally for its strong performance and leadership team. My goal is to help make the organization even stronger to benefit the people and communities Mercy serves.”
Ms. Price’s appointment comes as Mr. Mickus begins to transition into his role as Catholic Healthcare Partners chief operating officer in addition to his duties as CEO of the Northern Ohio Division of CHP, which includes serving as president and chief executive officer of Mercy.
