Catholic Charities is seeking sponsors for its Project Bethlehem program. Each year the organization identifies clients who are in need of food, clothing and gifts for their children at Christmas. Families involved in this program are either in a homeless shelter or are being released from public assistance.

Catholic Charities’ staff assesses the needs of the clients and then matches them with sponsors. The sponsor is given the client application form and a list of needs for the family.

Due to the current economic conditions, Catholic Charities anticipates an increase in families that need help. Project Bethlehem operates out of the Toledo, Norwalk and Mansfield offices.

For more information on how to get involved in Project Bethlehem, contact Catholic Charities:
Toledo: Theresa Ashton, 419-244-6711
Norwalk: Mary Hager, 419-668-3073
Mansfield: Laurie Hamrick, 4419-524-0733.
