Two Sisters of St. Agnes celebrate jubilees |

70 years Sister Mary Edmund Scherer was born in Defiance and entered the Sisters of St. Agnes from Tiffin St. Mary. She made first profession of vows Aug. 15, 1939, and her ministries included teaching in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, Kansas and Wisconsin and later working in business, including treasurer of Marian College.
40 years Sister Monica Justinger entered from Defiance St. John, making her first profession Aug. 15, 1969. Her ministries have been in health care in Wisconsin, Kansas, Colorado, Kentucky, New Mexico and Ohio. She is currently executive director of Berger Hospice and interim executive director of the Berger Foundation for the Berger Health System in Circleville, Ohio.
