Conception School collected more than 400 books as a service project to benefit St. Leo the Great School in New Orleans.
The school, operated by the Sisters of Notre Dame, continues to recover from Hurricane Katrina floods that ravaged the area.
Each Immaculate Conception student was encouraged to donate a new book to help rebuild the school library at St. Leo.
The books are to be wrapped for Christmas and presented to each of the 180 St. Leo students who will then unwrap the books at an all school assembly and present them to the library.
