TIFFIN—“Centering with Pottery and Prayer,” a retreat presented by Tiffin Franciscan Sister Jane Frances Omlor, is to be offered Feb. 27-28 at the St. Francis Spirituality Center in Tiffin.
Through the process of making pottery on a wheel, retreatants get in touch with their spiritual lives and create a lovely piece of pottery to take home. Participants create with clay and get in touch with the earth at many different levels.
Sr. Omlor, a Tiffin native, lived and worked in West Virginia for 25 years as a potter, retreat director and earth educator. She breathes, eats and loves the land and loves to bring her spirit into pottery.
She continues her artistic ministry as a potter and manages Spirit Space Gallery and Gifts, located in the St. Francis Spirituality Center.
“Centering with Pottery and Prayer” is scheduled from 7 p.m. Feb. 27 to 7 p.m. Feb. 28. The donation is $150 per person. To register call Jenifer at 419-443-1485 or e-mail retreats@stfrancisspiritualitycenter.org.
