TIFFIN—Nearly 80 people were recognized for their contributions to the Mercy Tiffin Health Foundation April 17 at Heidelberg College’s Great Hall.
Two awards created by the Mercy Tiffin Health Foundation were presented. The Founder’s Award, given to an individual whose support has significantly enabled the foundation to carry out the Mercy mission of caring for the poor and underserved was given to Dr. Prashant Kothari, former president of the Mercy Hospital of Tiffin medical staff.
The Mother Mary Bernadine McMullen Leadership Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated significant leadership, either in a volunteer, participatory or advisory role that directly supports the Mercy Tiffin Health Foundation in addressing the health care needs of the community. The award was given to John Schultz, a nearly 20-year supporter of the hospital, member of the board of trustees and former president of the board.
A Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mercy Sister Marie Catherine Wise for her dedication to serving the health care needs of the community. Sr. Wise served in many capacities at Mercy Hospital, including administrator. In her retirement she continues her service including as a board member of the Mercy Tiffin Health Foundation.
