The contest was open to area fourth-grade students whose schools participated by visiting Riehm Farm and decorating pumpkins during the month of October. Donations were accepted from visitors who wished to vote for their favorite pumpkin. The pumpkins were raffled off to the highest bidders Oct. 25 at Riehm Farm.

Participating schools included area public schools as well as Tiffin Calvert Catholic Schools, St. Joseph campus.

Blake received a plaque for his efforts and his class won the right to display the traveling trophy for the next year and enjoyed a pizza party donated by Mercy Hospital of Tiffin’s Wolf Creek Café.

William Wagner from St. Joseph won second place and Alex Stucky from Seneca East, third. Each received a plaque donated by Bair Brothers of Tiffin.
