TIFFIN—Application forms for the 2009 Seneca County Medical Society Scholarship Award are available through April 17 from guidance counselors at all Seneca County high schools.

Applications must be submitted or postmarked by April 17. The scholarship is a grant in the amount of $1,000 and is awarded to a graduating senior from a Seneca County high school that has enrolled in an accredited educational institution and declared intent to pursue a healthcare or medical-related career.

A selection committee awards the scholarship based on the applicant’s academic achievement, financial need, community involvement, recommendations and written essay.
