TIFFIN—Serra International recently presented its Father Junipero Serra Award for Promoting Vocations to the Serra Club of Tiffin.

The Serra Club of Tiffin received the award for its development of “an outstanding and innovative program in 2008-2009 to promote vocations to the ministerial priesthood and consecrated life.” Members Joanne Brickner and Joann Kirian directed the planning of the program, which involved recognizing youth from grades eight through 12 for distinguished service to their parishes.

The Serra Club honored 54 students from the Precious Blood of Jesus Deanery for their deeds at a special luncheon that was held last April at Tiffin St. Joseph.
