Teddy Bear Ride supports Mercy Tiffin pediatrics

TIFFIN—Mercy Tiffin Hospital hosted the 15th Annual Teddy Bear Ride Sept. 26. Approximately 50 Gold Wing Motorcycle riders delivered 194 stuffed animals to be used in various hospital departments for pediatric patients at Mercy Tiffin Hospital, in addition to $135 in cash donations.

“Mercy Tiffin would like to thank the children who volunteered to help collect the donated stuffed animals, including Aidan Best, Heidi Bivens, McKenna Stephens, Lindsey Vogel, Ryan Steinmetz and Aaron Acree,” said Bernie Steinmetz, manager of development and donor relations. “Mercy Tiffin would also like to thank Sandi Best, an employee of Mercy Tiffin who works in the pharmacy department and a member of the Gold Wing Club, for assisting with the event, as well as all of the members of the Gold Wing Club for their generous donations.”

Mercy Tiffin was represented by Dale Thornton, president and CEO; Teri Henry, nurse manager, Monitored Medical Surgical Unit (MMSU); Marsha Danhoff, rural division senior director of marketing, communications and development; and Mr. Steinmetz.
