TIFFIN—Art therapy for cancer survivors and their caregivers is to be offered through the Mercy Hospital of Tiffin Radiation Therapy Center Wednesdays in May from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each evening.

Therapy sessions are presented by Sister Barbara Kukla, a Racine Dominican, and are designed to help relieve anxiety and fear associated with cancer through the use of relaxation techniques.

Sr. Kukla has a master’s degree in art therapy from Ursuline University and has been involved with numerous health care organizations since 1991. She is a member of the American Art Therapy Association and the Buckeye Art Therapy Association.

Classes are free and open to the pubic but are limited to six to eight people. No art ability is required.

For more information, or to register, call the Mercy Hospital of Tiffin Radiation Therapy Center at 419-448-3692. Mercy Tiffin Radiation Therapy Center is located at 40 Fair Lane, next to the Mercy Business Office, off Hopewell Avenue.
