TIFFIN—The annual Walter A. Daniel, M.D. Memorial Golf Outing and Silent Auction to benefit the Mercy Tiffin Health Foundation is Sept. 15 at Mohawk Golf and Country Club.

This year’s outing features a single flight that tees off at 10 a.m. The field is limited to the first 36 paid teams and begins with a shotgun start run in a scramble format. Clouse Construction is serving as a major sponsor of the event.

“This is the 17th year that we have held a golf outing to benefit the Mercy Tiffin Health Foundation,” says Bernie Steinmetz, manager of development and public relations at Tiffin Mercy Hospital. “We truly appreciate the tremendous support we’ve received over the years in netting nearly $350,000.”

The event includes a take-away lunch as well as hors d’oeuvres and a buffet dinner following golf. Steve Stone, head professional at Mohawk, is available for instruction.

Other features of the day include closest to the pin and longest drive competitions, and a silent auction with items signed by celebrities such as John Elway, Terry Bradshaw, Ted Ginn, Jr., LeBron James, Reggie Jackson, Ryan Garko, Carlos Guillen, Danica Patrick and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
