TOLEDO—St. Francis de Sales High School is holding its 17th annual Knights’ Ball Dec. 6 at the Seagate Centre to exclusively benefit the school’s endowment fund.

Since its beginning in 1992, the Knights’ Ball has raised $1.7 million for students’ tuition assistance. In 2008, more than $1.6 million was awarded in scholarships and tuition assistance.

The Singing Blue, the men’s choir, is to present “A Knight in the City,” before dinner while guests enjoy complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. A gourmet dinner follows with dancing to the Mo-Town sounds of the popular KGB Band after the dinner.

Custom designed Christmas ornaments are to be sold for a chance to win one of the Treasure Quest items including a six-month lease on a Hummer H2 courtesy of Ed Schmidt Automotive, fresh flowers for a year courtesy of Joe I. Cooper Florist, an original piece of Jan Pugh pottery and cash prizes of $500 and $250. Unique silent auction items showcasing Toledo Treasures are to be offered to the highest bidder.
