TOLEDO—Notre Dame Academy senior Athena Smolka received a full golf scholarship including tuition, room and board Jan. 25 from Rend Lake College in Ina, Ill.

While on the Notre Dame golf team, Athena was first team all city for three years in a row. Her senior year she was first team all district, co-most valuable player for NDA and team captain. The NDA golf team finished sixth in the 2007 state championship with Athena scoring a 164 for the two-day tournament.
