Notre Dame Academy senior commits to University of Dayton

TOLEDO—Notre Dame Academy senior Heather Jorgensen of Toledo has committed to play Division 1 golf at the University of Dayton while pursuing a business degree.

“After considering multiple offers, Heather decided that the University of Dayton was the best fit for her,” says Heather’s father, Erik Jorgensen. “We are delighted that she chose a highly regarded Catholic university to continue her education. Notre Dame Academy has prepared her well for the next step.”

While on the Notre Dame Academy golf team Heather’s accomplishments include:

• First Toledo City League athlete ever to be selected All-TCL First Team in two sports (golf and tennis) during the same season. Four-time TCL Tennis Champion.

• Scored a final round 71 to become Toledo City League Golf Champion (Individual Medalist).

• Named to Northwest Ohio All-District First Team for Division I Girls Golf.

• Selected to All-Ohio Academic Team with a 4.15 grade point average.

• Three-time varsity golf player at Notre Dame Academy. Number one golfer with a 10-stroke improvement over her junior year. Voted team Co-MVP.

• State qualifier in both golf and tennis. The NDA golf team finished sixth place in the 2007 OHSAA Division 1 Girls Golf Tournament at Ohio State University.
