TOLEDO—The Toledo Province of the Sisters of Notre Dame is hosting 15 sisters in the beginning stages of religious life Jan. 15-18.
Those participating are Sisters of Notre Dame from the four U.S. provinces who gather once or twice year to explore topics related to religious life as it pertains to them in initial formation.
“I look forward to this weekend all year. When we gather together, we are able to support each other in the joys and challenges on our journey towards final profession of vows,” said Notre Dame Sister Jennifer Marie Zimmerman, the newest member of the Sisters of Notre Dame, Toledo Province.
The 15 participants come from Sisters of Notre Dame provinces in Chardon, Ohio; Covington, Ky.; Los Angeles and Toledo. These sisters represent a spectrum of nationalities and ages. One sister is from Argentina, another is from Korea and the others are from all parts of the United States. These sisters range in age from their 50s to mid-20s and bring a diversity of backgrounds in education and employment, according to Notre Dame Sister Marilyn Marie Ellerbrock, vocation director for the Toledo Province.
Weekend activities are taking place at Lial Renewal Center, Whitehouse.
