St. Francis presents ‘Anything Goes’

TOLEDO—A series of comical mistaken identities ensues as the passengers and crew sing and dance their way across the Atlantic in the famous Cole Porter musical “Anything Goes.”

This classic musical is presented by Toledo St. Francis de Sales High School at the Franciscan Theatre at Lourdes College May 1, 2, 8 and 9. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m.

Famous musical numbers include, “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “You’re the Top,” “Blow Gabriel Blow,” “The Gypsy in Me” and “It’s De-Lovely.” The cast includes more than 55 students from St. Francis, St. Ursula Academy and Notre Dame Academy. Michael Kastner is directing, Paulita Fernandez is directing vocal music and the orchestra is directed by Carl Collier. Karen Niewiadomski is choreographer for the lively musical dance numbers.

Among the leads are Connor Gavin as Billy Crocker and Julie Zook as Reno Sweeney. Others include Corinne Natyshak as Hope Harcourt, Ryan Schmidt as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, Lauren Kowalik as Erma, Joe Repka as Moonface Martin and Greg Pacer as John. Additional cast members are Ginny Dillon, John Dickendasher and Jake Albright.
