TOLEDO—St. Ursula Academy (SUA) is hosting Winter Preview Day for prospective students and their families from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 22.
At Winter Preview Day students and families learn about the academy’s college-prep academics; the admissions process, financial aid and scholarships; campus ministry and spirituality; college counseling, athletics, clubs, activities, fine arts and more. There are many opportunities to meet current students and parents and to tour the campus.
Current eighth-grade students may be given an instant admission decision. To do so, students must bring their completed admission application, school record card or transcript, a copy of their standardized test scores and a recommendation letter.
At Preview Day students also have a chance to meet Tricia Howard, St. Ursula’s director of college counseling, the only Certified Educational Planner in northwest Ohio. Ninety-nine percent of SUA graduates attend a college or university.
In 2008, St. Ursula Academy seniors were offered more than $11 million in college academic and athletic scholarships. The current student body has two AP Scholars with Distinction, two AP Scholars with Honors, and five AP Scholars. The academy also boasts two National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists, one National Merit Scholarship Commended student and one National Merit Achievement student.
In addition to Winter Preview Day, students can learn more about the school by shadowing a student for a day.
Make reservations for Winter Preview Day or to shadow by calling Tamara Johnson at 419-329-2209.
St. Ursula Academy is located at 4025 Indian Road in Ottawa Hills between Secor and Talmadge roads.
