St. Ursula Academy to present ‘Grease’

TOLEDO—St. Ursula Academy is presenting the musical “Grease” at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 30 and Jan. 31 and at 2 p.m. Feb. 1 at The Franciscan Theatre of Lourdes College.  

Leading the cast of Pink Ladies and Burger Boys are Emely Ortiz as Sandy and Ryan Schmidt of St. Francis de Sales High School as Danny.

Allison Woods, Caroline Berger, Kennedy Cox and Molly Pfohl sing the leading Pink Lady roles. Sean Burns of Anthony Wayne High School, Charlie Baker of St. John’s Jesuit High School, Reed Silverman of Ottawa Hills High School and Austin Leader of Blissfield High School are the featured Burger Boys.  

The cast of 91 also includes male actors from Toledo Central Catholic and Maumee high schools. Melissa Beland, stage manager Kelly Clark and assistant stage manager Lauren Veith have created a multi-level set to bring back the ’50s. Staci Carter is choreographer and Randi Monaghan, Jeanne Zook and Christine Brenner lead a team of costume designers. John Rowley, musical director, is assisted by Allison Kryzyminski. Elizabeth Clarke Horrigan is production director.
