School participated in Priesthood Sunday Oct. 28, an event sponsored by Serra International, an organization that promotes vocation awareness and prayer for vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
The children at St. Joseph School prepared a “Prayer Bouquet” for their pastor, Father Michael Schelling. The “bouquet” consisted of paper hearts on which the students wrote the many things they would do for the day, including saying specific prayers, abstaining from candy and helping with chores at home as a sacrifice for the priesthood.
