TOLEDO—Nicely Nicely Johnson, Benny Southstreet and assorted crapshooters invade Sister Sarah’s mission and the fun begins.
It’s the classic Frank Loesser musical “Guys and Dolls” that shows what happens when gamblers, showgirls and missionaries mix it up in the streets of New York City.
Toledo St. John’s Jesuit High School brings the show to the Valentine Theater at 7 p.m. March 26; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. March 27; and 2 p.m. March 28.
Fifty high school students from St. John’s, Toledo Notre Dame Academy, Toledo St. Ursula Academy and the Toledo School for the Arts, under the direction of St. John’s alumnus Damian Rodgers, are part of the cast.
Featured cast members include Chris Kessler as Sky Masterson, Katie Pettee as Sarah Brown, Mark Beyer as Nathan Detroit, Shelby Butz as Miss Adelaide (Friday and Saturday matinee) and Hayley Reynolds as Miss Adelaide (Saturday evening and Sunday). Other standouts include Jacob Kinder, Phil Brailsford, Meredith Savage, Billy Barabino, Matt Krasula, Tyler Zaborowski, Ryan McCabe and Ben Springer.
