TOLEDO—St. Patrick of Heatherdowns in Toledo is hosting nationally-known church comedic character-actor Doug Brummel in his one-man character-changing show “Lighten Up!” on April 7 and 8 at the church with the unique start-time of 6:47 p.m.

The one-man show features Mr. Brummel and his "cast of characters." Reminiscent of classic comedians such as Red Skelton and Carol Burnett, Mr. Brummel transforms himself into a variety of characters who aim to help all generations connect their faith into everyday life.

“Bringing everyone together to celebrate the gifts of our faith and our family life … that’s what it is all about,” says Mr. Brummel.

Mr. Brummel has brought his wise and witty characters to more than 700 communities in nearly every state in the country. All faiths and backgrounds are welcome to attend. Mr. Brummel is known as the Catholic comedian with a "universal" appeal.

Admission is free and all are welcome. A free-will offering may be made. For further information call Pam Mohler, stewardship and development director at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, at 419-724-4770. Information is also available at www.dougbrummel.com.
